Principal

We want that education by which character is formed, strength of mind is increased, the intellect is expanded, and by which one can stand on one’s own feet.”

– Swami Vivekananda.

Dear Friend,

Manufacturing is the area in which India will concentrate its energies in the 21st century. While the Nation is vigorously campaigning for “Make in India”, the Government of India has announced the ambitious goal of giving technical training to 15 crore people by the year 2022.

Decades before this vision was articulated in India, Swami Vivekananda gave a clarion call for technical training of Indians so that they could learn to be self-reliant. He said, “What we need is to study, independent of foreign control, different branches of the knowledge that is our own, and with it the English language and Western science; we need technical education and all else that may develop industries so that men, instead of seeking for service, may earn enough to provide for themselves, and save something against a rainy day ….. It would be better if the people got a little technical education, so that they might find work and earn their bread, instead of running from pillar to past and crying for service.”

Ramakrishna Mission Shilpamandira Community Training Centre [CTC] has been working relentlessly to give shape to this vision of Swmi Vivekananda by imparting livelihood skills in the trades of Automobile Mechanic, Machinist, CNC Operator, different types of Welding & metal cutting, Electrical wiring and motor & transformer re-winding, Refrigeration & Air-conditioner, Mobile phone repairing, Home appliances repairing, TV & computer monitor repairing, etc. These are all demand-driven, need-based hands-on technical training for wage / self-employment.

Further, we also conduct custom-designed corporate training in the above trades.
We invite you to participate in this grand endeavor of Nation-building through Ramakrishna Mission Shilpamandira Community Training Centre.
